1. Who is responsible for your data

BA Stack is a trading name of Young Jokotade, a sole trader based in England, who is the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. What we collect and why

We keep this deliberately minimal. We collect:

• Your email address, given when you take the readiness quiz or buy Foundation Pro. Used to grant access to the app and to send study emails.
• Your exam date, optionally, if you choose to give it on the quiz results page. It is not required, and you can leave it blank or say you have not booked yet. Used to understand how much time you have left so study emails are relevant.

This data is stored in Supabase. We do not collect or store your card details at any point.

3. Lawful basis

• Performance of a contract, for using your email address to give you access to a product you have paid for and to provide support.
• Consent, for study emails and for the optional exam date. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or by contacting us.

4. Who processes your data

We use a small number of third party services as processors. Each holds only what it needs:

• Supabase, database and user accounts.
• Stripe, payment processing. Stripe handles card details directly. We never see or store them.
• Resend, sending emails.
• Netlify, website hosting.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

5. How long we keep it

If you took the quiz but did not buy, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you have not engaged with our emails for 24 months, we delete it automatically.

If you bought Foundation Pro, we keep your account data for your 12 months of access and for 12 months afterwards, in case you need help regaining access. Records of your purchase are kept for 6 years, which is how long we are required to keep business records for HMRC.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time and we will do so, except where we are legally required to keep purchase records.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Be told what data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
• Have inaccurate data corrected.
• Have your data deleted. Email us and we will remove it.
• Restrict or object to how we use it.
• Ask for your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

7. Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how pages are used. Google is a separate controller for that data. See Google's own privacy policy for details.
